8月23日至25日，我在周口市参加了首届“长青杯”心意拳国际邀请赛暨传统武术比赛。比赛结束后，许多精彩瞬间仍旧萦绕在我的脑海中：四把锤的起如青龙出水，落如惊雷炸地；熊形、马形、蛇形等拳种的象形取意；圣门十字莲花拳、乾门八卦拳等稀有拳种的亮相……这些都让我对这次盛会留下了深刻印象。这是《搏击》杂志社与地方政府及武术协会联合举办的一次盛会，规模宏大，场面激烈，好手迭出。
政府主办搭台，武协承办唱戏，是成功举办武术赛事的基础。这个赛事由体育局、文化广电新闻出版局和民族宗教局联合举办，局领导亲自调度，现场办公解决问题，这不仅彰显了政府及其有关职能部门对本次比赛的重视，更是体育文化民族结合的一次绝好的典范，这是值得全国各地效仿和借鉴。
周口心意拳协会一班人团结进取，孜孜以求，是赛事成功举办的关键。众所周知，心意拳是中华民族优秀文化的一朵奇葩，它经历了多代传人的发展，最著名的是第六代大师买壮图将心意拳传入周口，由袁长青和袁凤仪继续推广至全国乃至海外。此外，该款被列为河南省省级非物质文化遗产，并于2008年被文化部批准为第二批国家级非物质文化遗产。
为了承辦此次賽事，全力以赴の工作人员分工明确，每个人都围绕分工展开工作，每周调度一次汇报进度分析问题共同解决。特别是在接待工作方面，他们想队员所想急队员所急尽量满足参赛者的要求受到了参赛者的好评。
本次賽事吸引了海外的心意拳參與者成為賽事亮點。本屆比賽不僅有北京上海安徽江苏湖北四川等十幾個省市自治區排隊參賽，更引來美國中國台北等海外武術團體參加。我們曾與中國台北隊交流，他們奔着心意拳来的據他們理解 心意拳是一種博大的功夫，以锻炼内在精气神为宗旨刚柔并济内外兼修警晃猛烈毒狠急相統一奥妙無窮對他們而言是一種神往之功夫所以跑來觀摩交流。
天時地利人和使首屆“長青杯”心意拳國際邀請賽暨傳統武術競技開成了武林盛會開成了民族大團結的一次盛會。此舉創造了我國地區 武林史上的四個之最—is the largest in scale, with the most participants, the most participating martial arts schools, and the greatest impact—a milestone event for our region's martial arts. The competition has created a significant opportunity to dig up and sort out the non-material cultural heritage of traditional martial arts hidden in folk culture, which will have important practical significance and far-reaching impacts. It will also promote traditional martial arts going out of the country and towards overseas.
A good start is half successful. Facing the success of this event, Mr. Buyi Shan, President of Wuhu County Intentional Fist Association said: "This is just a beginning! As we are inexperienced in hosting such a grand-scale event, there are many things that didn't go as smoothly as expected. We will face ourselves honestly, fill in what we lack with what we have strong at, look forward to the future! We aim to continuously spread light on China's national treasure—Intentional Fist Martial Arts and strive to get it recognized internationally!"
Looking ahead to new development trends, organizers Wuhu County Intentional Fist Association have already planned their next steps: First expand transmission bases gradually advancing toward provincial capital Zhengzhou; secondly cooperate with Beijing City Intentional Fist Research Institute and People's Police University using Beijing's unique geographical advantages strengthen external exchange cooperation; thirdly actively participate in mass fitness activities develop Intentional Fist Fitness Exercises enhance training & training extend audience scope based on creating 'Intentional Fist Fitness Exercise ’ at Xihui Primary School experimentally promoting it further into primary schools like Six Lane Elementary School & Wen Chang Middle School etc; fourth organize competition teams perform at national/international competitions hold nationwide non-material cultural heritage exhibitions striving for selection by National Ethnic Affairs Commission leaders & experts for participation next year’s Inner Mongolia National Minorities Games Fifth intensify theoretical research delve into heart-intent fist history culture techniques health values solidifying theory foundation of heart-intent fist cultural inheritance not only let practitioners know how to practice why they practice but also make them able to practice teach apply skills effectively
