沈茂，是明初南京的一位富豪。他出生于苏州，但他的家境却源自湖州陆氏经纪产业。这份财富使他成为当时的一个巨擘，他拥有田地数以千计。
在明太祖朱元璋统治初期，沈茂与弟弟沈旺共同担任粮长，他们负责一个地区的赋税征收。在1370年，那一年正值洪武三年，沈茂带领五百五十四户苏州富民输送粮食至京师，并且得到了面见明太祖的机会。虽然后来被赐予酒食而归，但这次经历无疑为他赢得了皇帝的赏识。
随后，沈茂被任命为户部广积库提举，他的大儿子沈玠也成为了户部员外郎，一家人留居于京都（今南京）。1386年，当时洪武十九年，他参与了兴建京师通济、聚宝、三山、洪武等城垣及其相关建筑工程。但就在工事结束不久之后，他因某些原因遭到了贬谪，被送往边疆。
然而，在这个过程中，我们并不知道关于沈旺家族是否因为蓝玉案牵连而遭受了什么命运。蓝玉案是一场震惊天下的政治斗争，它牵涉到多个高级官员，其中包括一些曾经是大将军或宦官的人物，而这些人物很多都是由宦官推荐或拥戴上来的。

Shen Mo, the legend of China's dynasties power ranking. In the long river of Chinese history, the rise and fall of dynasties are intertwined with each other. From Han to Qing, each dynasty has its own unique charm and glory. However, how did these powerful dynasties rise? How did they compete and clash with each other?
Shen Mo was a wealthy man in Nanjing at the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. He was born in Suzhou but his wealth came from Lake State Land Company owned by Lu family. This wealth made him one of the richest men at that time.
During Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang's reign in early Ming Dynasty, Shen Mo and his brother Shen Wang jointly served as grain collectors for a region responsible for collecting taxes there. In 1370 AD (the third year of Hongwu), Shen Mo led 554 households from Suzhou to transport grain to Beijing where he had an audience with Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang himself before returning home.
Later on, he was appointed as Supervisor General for Grain Storage Department while his son Shen Jie became an Assistant Commissioner at Grain Storage Department and stayed in Beijing together with him until 1386 AD (the nineteenth year of Hongwu) when he participated in building city walls such as Tung Chih Wall, Ju Pao Wall etc., but soon after finishing this project he got demoted because someone wanted revenge against him so he had to leave his homeland again.
Although historical records vary greatly about specific events concerning Shen Wang's family whether or not they were affected by Blue Jade Case involving high-ranking officials including some who were once generals or eunuchs recommended or backed by eunuchs is still unknown.
Despite these differences we can see that every era behind every dynasty has figures like Shen Mo who used their strength and wisdom to inject vitality into their times contributing immensely to national development while between them there existed fierce geopolitical rivalries no matter if it was over resource distribution or political struggle full strategy schemes hidden within both palace intrigue & land disputes among kingdoms competing fiercely trying different tactics & tricks all along way!
